Pip grabbed me for coffee at Black & Gold and a game of Blood Bowl at Incom in Cheltenham. I haven’t played Blood Bowl on table top for years so there was a lot of learning to do.
I brought my Human team and faced off against Pip’s Necromantic Horror lineup. I took an early lead with some underhand tactics — namely, actually passing the ball — which seemed to confuse his zombies.
But Pip clawed back to level the score, and in the final drive I made multiple mistakes. Pip capitalised, made the play, and clinched a 2-1 win.
Fun game, well played. Next time, I’ll bring more caution and try and better work out the order of operations. Looking at Gnome or Chaos Dwarf teams, but that’ll be in the future with UKGE at the end of the month.
Brain Chemisty
After the chaos and joy of an epic weekend — capped off with todays Blood Bowl match — I came back down to earth with a bit of a thud. The evening was rough. It felt like all the good neurotransmitters had packed up and gone home, leaving me feeling pretty low.
Thankfully, Marie was her usual wonderful self, checking on me even though I looked like a wet weekend.
